After working with Frank, I feel like I have such an advantage at the plate, it’s almost like I’m cheating. Great coach.

Frank Ramppen

My success playing at the amateur and professional level was only the first step in becoming a great coach. The mentoring of Bobby V as a major league coach, studying human nature as it pertains to the sport, and having two highly competitive sons of my own completed the process.

Frank has been involved in baseball his entire life.  He played his youth baseball in Stamford, CT., winning multiple State Championships and All State honors.  Collegiately he played 3 years at the University of Tampa and was drafted by the Minnesota Twins after his junior year. While with the Twins, Frank played alongside Hall of Famer, Kirby Puckett and won the California League Championship.

Frank has coached at a variety of levels from local youth baseball to regional travel teams to the professional level in Japan, accomplishing championships at each respective level.

While in Japan, Frank wore many hats. He served as the coach of base-running, first base, infield, hitting & as the bench coach.  In 2005, The Chiba Lotte Marines won the Japanese World Series en route to the Asian Series. Frank’s infielders all won gold gloves that year, the first time this was ever achieved in Japanese baseball history.

After Japan, Frank took over operations at Bobby Valentine's Sports Academy teaching youth and professional athletes ages four through adult. He was also the head of curriculum at BVSA, training all instructors on best coaching practices.

**The total number of FR Exclusive clients will be limited to ensure a high quality level of instruction, focus, and appropriate availability from Coach Ramppen. No one knows the game better and, just as importantly, Frank knows how to connect with young athletes to get the most out of them.
— Doug Perlman, Father of current student
One of the best things I ever did for my son was have him start working with Frank. Not only is he learning the game correctly, in an age appropriate way, but Frank’s connection with him has improved his confidence both on and off the field.
— Leslie Hartnett, Mother of current student
His extensive baseball knowledge aside, Frank’s ability to build quality relationships with his players, along with his simple yet holistic approach to coaching, was a breath of fresh air in a world clouded by social media and quick money grabs. Working with him provided the development and confidence I needed to succeed at the level I was striving for.

Frank’s coaching style was more personalized than that of anyone I had ever worked with. He understands that every player is unique and tailors his coaching accordingly. To me, a lesson feels less like coaching and more like a genuine conversation about my game. Working with him gave me the development and confidence I needed to achieve my dream of playing college baseball.
